A season of cabaret nights at Maidenhead's Norden Farm Centre for the Arts starts on Saturday, September 20 when West End veteran John Barr comes to town.
John made his West End debut at the age of 12 in Oliver and has since appeared in roles as diverse as Amos Hart in Chicago in Kuala Lumper, Doctor Thomas Parker in Batboy the Musical at London's Shaftesbury Theatre and Feuilly in Les Miserables at London's Palace Theatre.
He has performed his own cabaret show in London, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Washington, Chicago, Sydney, Venice, Switzerland, Denmark and on the QE2. He has made four CDs.
Cabaret night favourite Eve MacDonald will be completing the bill. She has appeared in many shows locally, more recently Fiddler on the Roof and several appearances with the Grimm Players.
Eve will introduce some hidden gems of musical theatre, proving you do not have to know them to enjoy them. The show starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £10.50 (£8.50 concessionary) and are available from the Box Office on 01628 788997 or online at www.nordenfarm.org
