Dance Project 4 - Wycombe Swan

11:31am Thu 28th Aug 08:: written by Sonia Kapur

Hip-hop, tap, funk and ballet. It was all in the bag at Wycombe Swan on Saturday night when youngsters took to the stage and showed the audience how to do it.

There were different acts throughout the show from a variety of dancers. So some dancers did a ballet performance while others put on their baggy jeans for some street-dancing. But it was a video in between the dances that made the show even more interesting.

Before a new dance started, audiences got to see interviews with choreographers from the rehearsals. This allowed everyone to see how the dances were actually put together.

However, I think the videos were rather long and after a while and the audience was just eager for the music and brilliant lighting to start and liven up the stage.

But I guess it was a good build-up. I liked all the dances as they were all different and unique, but the act that really got me going was the tap and jazz one.

Their bright clothes went really well with the tone of the piece and the music.
