The Ting Tings
The Ting Tings are a new favourite with the trendy twentysomething crowd and had managed to pull in an audience of thousands, which overflowed the tent by a long way.
Having arrived late we were stuck outside which made it almost impossible to hear them.
But we're not the kind of girls to let that put us off and that's why God invented elbows. After a bit of ducking, weaving and gentle-ish shoving we found a spot just inside the tent.
The quality of sound put out by the two-piece is impressive to say the least. I liked their debut album but wasn't blown away but live, Katie White's Debbie Harry vibe is even more prominent and the audience loved it.
It helps that most of their songs include sing-a-long chants and everyone got in on the action, raising their hands and shouting 'That's not my name, that's not my name'.
At one point a rather retro chorus of 'ooa ooa' started circulating, which took me back to my teenage clubbing years.
