Wine connoisseurs are set to break a Guinness World Record this month for the largest synchronised wine tasting.

Zoe Hodge, manager of The Greyhound in Queen Street, Maidenhead is hosting the event as part of a 19-day wine festival which runs from May 21-June 8.

At 6pm on Wednesday, May 21 The Greyhound will join more than 650 Wetherspoon pubs across the UK and ask its customers to tickle their taste buds with a free glass of wine.

Pub manager Zoe Hodge said: "This is a great opportunity for people to be part of a Guinness World Record attempt.
"All they have to do is come to the pub and enjoy a glass of wine at the same time as other customers in Wetherspoon pubs across the UK.
"The current world record stands at 5,100 tasters and I am confident that it can be beaten, with my customers playing their part."
