Quirky, melodic pop mixed in with pop-rock is the style of singer songwriter Luci Cahn.
The songstress, originally from Boulters Lock, Maidenhead has had her sound likened to a more mature Avril Lavigne.

Her influences include The Jacksons and Tears for Fears as well as more modern artists such as KT Tunstall and Snow Patrol.

She was inspired to start writing during her travels through Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Australia but says her best gig was at the 100 club.

She started out as a dogsbody at a big recording studio in London, then she rose to being a session singer.
But her singing didn't really take off until after she went travelling and returned with lots of song ideas. She then handed a demo in to Halo records, who called her back within an hour. Her first single, Inside Out, is available to buy on Itunes.

She said: "Ultimately I'd like to get to the stage where it's being played on the radio a lot. I just want to keep recording and making good songs."
